WAHAM

(plural wahamat or wohamati), from Coptic bwhem (bohem), song, air, tune, hymn, LAHN. This is an ecclesiastical term found only in ritual manuscripts. Waham is properly pronounced woham and means “air,” “tune,” “hymn” (see MUSIC, COPTIC).
