A Gnostic revelation dialogue between the risen and his disciples, by a short letter addressed by to his “fellow Apostle” Philip. The title occurs at the beginning: “The Letter of Peter which He Sent to Philip.” Jesus’ revelation consists of various topics of mythology, concluding with a commission to the to go out and preach. Extant only in Coptic, the (. Pet. .) was originally composed in Greek, probably in the early third century, possibly in Egypt.
