How do I work with God? The principles of work (1) (11)

How do I work with God? The principles of work (1) (11)

 By: House of God’s Love

The Lord Jesus’ last command to his Disciples and us is to preach the Gospel (Mark16:15) and to tell of redemption, forgiveness, eternity and reconciliation with God. Jesus shed his blood for the salvation of the whole world and commanded us to tell everyone about this salvation. And as a loyal child of their father, we appreciate this blood and tell the whole world.

Those who trust in forgiveness in the blood of Christ, and who inherit eternal life cannot shut up but preach it. What are the principles of working with God? What are the motives, obstacles and levels of work? That’s what we’re going to step by step together to grow in the work and bear witness to Christ.

The Lord Jesus inflames our hearts and the hearts of all his people with the salvation of souls through the intercession of our Mother, the Virgin Mary, and the prayers of our blessed father, His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Glory to our God in His church from now and forever Amen.

When I was walking to meet my Godfather; I found a pond of water. The smell of water at the beginning was changing and collect mosquitoes. I rushed off to get away from that pond. There I met my Godfather, and I told him about the pond.

He said: I’ll tell you a similar story, son. A famous archaeologist had a conference in Switzerland for two weeks. He was staying at a hotel directly overlooking Geneva Lake. The natural view was beautiful and comforting, with the White Mountains covered in snow, a blue water lake and green land. When he went to continue his research about the Dead Sea, the view changed completely. The natural view was depressing; it’s a sea, actually dead. Its water salinity is very high so that if a bird flies over it for so long, it is chokes and dies.

There is no better indication about the righteousness and love of our God than what he did with the lost sheep. He left the ninety-nine sheep behind and went to look for the lost one. Therefore, priests pay attention to and use all your love, power, knowledge about the Lord to benefit the lost ones. And remember, the worse the disease and the uglier the wounds you heal, the better the reward you’ll get.

The ladder (pg. 401).

The archaeologist thought a lot about the difference between the two natural views. Between the view that brings hope and life and the other that brings melancholy, until he found out the reason.

 I said: what’s the reason?

He said: The reason is that when Geneva Lake is full, it overflows the land around it in the canals, the trees are sprout. But on The other hand, The Dead Sea never overflows, and although the Jordan- in which the Lord Jesus was baptized- empties into it, yet, it is not connected to canals and its water evaporate and its salinity remains. Just like the pond you saw, it just collects the rain and kept it, it stinks and changes its smell. But the fountain always overflows because it’s constantly renewed. The more water comes out of it, the fresher it overflows. While the stagnant pond is rotting. So are we, if we’re not a fountain, we’re a pond.

I said: What do you mean by that?

He said: Did you get anything from what you heard?

I said: Of course I learned a lot and my life changed. I learned how to talk to Jesus as a father and friend, after praying was just an imposition. I knew what repentance meant and how I made a decision about the direction of change. There’s no place for despair, I became a Christian instead of a Christian in name only. I realized I had eternal life and forgiveness of sin. I learned how to control thought through prayer, and I knew that the SINS of pride killed me in secret without knowing. I don’t forget the inner peace after living in turmoil.

To throw all my worries at Jesus every morning and change every thought into a prayer. At sunset, I remember the peace of forgiveness for oneself and others and the daily forgiveness of Christ. Peace the midnight, I remember the freedom not to put my peace in a person, a place, or a time. I learned a lot.

He said: Well done, but I don’t mean to know, from the beginning, and I’ve told you, it’s not just talking, it’s everyday practice if you don’t do it, it’s nonsense. Many know this, many read like it and rejoice, but few do, so we had to take it to step by step.

I said: You ‘re right, my life has changed a little bit, and if I’ m still falling, I ‘m struggling, and I’ m never gonna give up. The motives of spiritual life have changed completely, and my view of Christ and eternal life has changed. The most important thing is the follow-up and practical steps. Without these practical steps, everything would have been just talk. I’ve often heard sermons, but the change didn’t happen. The same ideas and motives, and there’s not even a simple

Practical steps facilitate the spiritual path and make each subject a simple set of points, thus facilitating the remembrance process. Simple and practical terms make me live a spiritual life throughout my day. I felt responsible for my family and friends and urged them to change and accept Christ, as I knew him.

He said: All right, son, as long as you start walking the spiritual path and feeling responsible for others, let’s talk about the union today.

To be a fountain, not pond

I said: How?

He said: After learning all these things practically, you have to overflow and teach others.

I said: But I’m a sinner and weak!

He said: I did not tell you that you are spiritually strong or that you are like the apostle Paul, the great preacher, but just tell them about Christ, who loves sinners and frees from all sin. You told them about hope and forgiveness. As we said

” who realizes can’t shut up, who must have shut up didn’t realize””

Do you know what the secret of Christian weakness is today?

I said: what is it?

He said: They left a very important command to Christ.

I said: What is it, my father?

He said: There was an old father who had a hundred years, as the end of his days on earth approached; he called his children to give them his last command. Give them a lot of advice. After their father died, each one of them would say, “My father commanded me to do……” As if this father had told them only this command in a hundred years. They were doing everything their father said. Their father’s command had its special place.

We were not faithful to our heavenly father’s command, nor were we as faithful as those sons.

I said: How is that?

He said” When Jesus ascended to heaven, he commanded his disciples and said to them:

“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” mark 16:15

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost” Matthew 28:19

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8

This is the last commandment Jesus gave us, to tell and talk about.

If you do not speak and learn about him, you will be contrary to Christ’s command. And it’s a fruitless branch.

Moreover, you will return to the thoughts of sin again as if you were to begin anew. So you stay in a closed circle and you learn nothing new or grow.

Do you think that only non-believers need these words? Or you have to go to Africa or China to tell about Jesus.

I said: of course not, I need it most because I was a Christian by name only. My life was a mere formality, a routine without joy, no confidence in eternity, no certainty of forgiveness. I had no real relationship with Christ but was terrified by guilt and fear of death. I can’t forget all that.

He said: Do you have any brothers or friends?

I said: sure, I have both.

He said: Do you want to leave them Christian in name only? They are plunged into sin, distrustful of forgiveness, far away from Christ, Hell waiting for them.

I said: Of course not, but I’m embarrassed to talk.

He said: Don’t be shy, I’ll tell you a story. Someone has traveled to America with a certain ointment that heals the eye after being blind.

This guy had a friend who was blind because of this disease, but he didn’t want to tell him about this ointment so he wouldn’t hurt his feelings. He kept the ointment with him and no one benefited from it. What do you think of this guy?

I said: I think he’s a little nonchalant about his friends because he knew their medicine and neglected to heal them.

He said: That’s how we, son, would be like him if we neglected to heal others.

People today talk about everything in politics, economics, sports, and Art until we get to pornography and they’re not ashamed.

As for us Christians, our failure became even greater, for we were ashamed to speak of Christ and to preach his forgiveness and eternity.

One of them told me, one of the church servants came to visit who in the house, he knocked on the door, suddenly he was kicked out and the door closed to him. What does he feel like?

I said: Of course he’s ashamed, or at least he’s gone somewhere else.

He said: No, son, he knock on the next door and he starts talking about Jesus. May we do what this servant has done and not be ashamed. Remembering the words of the apostle Paul

“Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord” 2 Timothy 1:8.

In London, a consultant went to interview a businessman who owned a factory set

Redeem others as the lord has redeemed you; rescue those who are dying in their sins as Jesus Christ has rescued you. Do not delay when it comes to saving those who the devil is trying to kill. As God will reward those who save the lost with a divine prize that was never seen or heard of before.

The ladder (pg. 402)

He found him at a meeting with factory managers, and they usually had wine before the meeting. The consultant refused to drink. The manager sarcastically asked: are you a follower of Christ? He said yes. Here everyone started laughing, but this engineer stood his ground and refused to drink. The manager asked him again, but seriously, are you really a follower of Christ? He said yes. Sadly, the manager told him, prove what you are, son. You remind me of my mother who died reading the Gospel. I wish I could be like her.

Tell yourself that “Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord”

I said: Is everyone talking about Jesus?

He said: Everyone who knew Christ, accepted his forgiveness, and trusted in eternal life must speak. So that he could be a fountain, not a pond. Until they complement the command of Christ.

Just as a man who has completed his studies must work, even if he does not work, he is unemployed. That way, after you enter the union, you have to work or you’re unemployed. Besides, it’s not possible for someone to work when they’re not done. For example, a first-year medical school can’t open a clinic!

I assume this student graduated and completed his studies but sat at home without working. Can humans benefit from it? Is that just a doctor without treating patients?

I said: The doctor can’t be a doctor unless he treats patients. It does not enough have a certified alone to be a doctor. But, Father, who decides to talk to people about Jesus?

He said: The spirit guide or confessor determines that. Every time a person is practically step-by-step in this approach, he will automatically feel responsible for those around him. The idea of a spiritual guide has been present in the church since ancient times, and every human has had an Eshbin[1], whether after baptism or in childhood. When he joined the church from the preachy.

The son is not just a son but it’s time to have a family and become a father.

Similarly, spiritual life, the time has come for you to speak about Christ, to make disciples, to have spiritual sons, just as you have a spiritual father remains.

I said: Do you have a Godfather until now?

He said: Of course, yes, I still have a godfather, sit down with him, and talk to me, guide my way

I said: What if someone does not have somebody to teach and guide him in a spiritual way?

He said: The Holy Spirit and the books also guide. There are self-taught orphans, God was teaching them. The Holy Bible

“They shall be all taught of God” John 6:45.

“I will not leave you comfortless” John 14:18.

“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” John 14:26.

“Leave thy fatherless children, I will preserve them alive; and let thy widows trust in me.” Jeremiah 49:11.

God himself CARES for orphans, whether orphans of body or spirit. For example, someone in a village with no churches, no priestly fathers, or one in a country without churches, God will never leave them. God CARES for them and gives the holy spirit richly to those who seek him. “For God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.” John3:34.

“If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?” Luka 11:13.

Good to have a reference through the bible and the spiritual father. But if not, don’t let yourself die and get lost in the sea of the world. Ask the Holy Spirit every day to guide you, studentship on the writings of the fathers, the subject needs wisdom and perseverance.

I said: You mean don’t confess?

He said: You have to understand what I’m saying. I do not speak of the sacrament of confession, but I speak of guidance and discipleship, especially for those in countries, villages, and places where there are no priests.

I said: I’m lucky to have a godfather and a guide like you, father.

He said: So you have a big responsibility. Also, who is faithful in a spiritual way and who walks this approach will grow without feeling.

There will come a time when he will find within himself the energy to speak that he cannot resist, and if he responds he will find fruit, joy, and growth, and if he does not, he will remain sterile. Be careful not to be spiritually sterile, son. The physical infertility of the Old Testament was a shame (Luka1:25)

I also believe in the New Testament that the spiritually sterile is a shame and a sin.

I said: What if I’m not a real Christian yet?

He said: If you have not tasted Christ and have a real life with him you do not speak. Don’t talk about what you didn’t live, because it’ll be a delusion and useless talk.

The tongue speaks to the ear, but the spirit implemented to the heart

There’s something else if you’ve lived through these spiritual things, but you’re still weak and there are SINS, speak up, and don’t be afraid. He that is without sin?!. You don’t tell them about your greatness, you tell them about Christ and his greatness.

Talk to them about Christ, who should support sinners. Show the bright side of Christ that he accepts the sinners that I am. Be careful, son, that people are not fooled, that what is in your heart will be seen and felt. If you look loathing on people in your heart, they will feel it, and they will not accept your word, even if it’s about humility and encouragement. If you look at them with love and brothers, we were lost, and Christ loves us all. They’ll be impressed, no matter how untidy your words may be.

The most important thing is inside you, your view of them, and your relationship with Jesus.

Speak of Christ, knowing your weakness, as a patient is need of treatment. As long as you live with Christ, you must tell about him to become a fountain, not a pond, and return to your weaknesses.

One of the main reasons for spiritual lukewarm about the people of Christ nowadays is that they do not preach Christ and speak about him, so it comes a time when spiritual growth stops.

The Lord Jesus said: ” For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.” Matthew 13:12.

He who has fruit and invests the grace and knowledge of god increases his growth and knowledge more and more. But if it doesn’t bear fruit, it remains sterile and the growth he took was taken from him.

The word of Jesus was clear, candid, and dangerous at the same time ” Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.” John 15:2. The fruit he expects from us is “and ye shall be witnesses” Acts 1:8.

I said: It’s great, Father, but my spiritual experience isn’t like you?

He said: Spiritual life is not a step but a life, start from where you stand. What you have ever learned and lived start with, that the fountain of life may overflow with his grace and blessings. If you encounter something that you have not experienced or lived through, turn to a father who will guide you. Just be faithful to the little that you have learned and that God has given you so much. Don’t be such a wicked and slothful servant. It’s not just talking, there are levels at work, and we’ll talk about it later.

Start sending out this handbook of Christ either by hand or electronically. Do not be ashamed to speak of your Christ and to declare his forgiveness and love; do not be ashamed to pray in your room. How can we be ashamed of God’s work, and those who are not ashamed to advertise pornography and sin publicly?

We must not be ashamed of our Christ, preach of him with all our mental and physical strength.

Start talking about how to obtain God’s love. Controlling thoughts. About the signs of true Christianity. Haven’t you lived through these things, son?

I said: yes

He said: Talk about these things because these are very important things.

A true relationship with Christ, repentance, inner peace, trust in forgiveness, hope, despair, unconditional love of Christ for sinners, and trust in eternal life. Everyone needs to hear about these things these days. So do not abandon your friends, for the waves of the world are high and despair threatens many to perish. The world is not without sin, and unfortunately, people are drawn to it. But faithful to Christ. He needs all the workers, professionals and beginners.

Work honestly according to your talents, and what you do not know, ask your guide. Not one person can serve all different personalities but we complement each other. The builder cannot be built alone; it needs someone to prepare the equipment. The one who brings bricks cannot be built and so on. We all need each other. Do you know the story of the Samaritan woman?

He will appear to be a part of the spiritual powers, and because of the pureness he was given from the Lord, he could wash and cleanse the people from their sins. Those people will be immaculate offerings, and that is the perfect service. And as it’s written in the bible that all the people around God give him gifts of saved souls.

The ladder (pg. 402)

I said: yes I know

He said: The Samaritan woman was neither educated nor studied theology, for example, Coptic or Greek, nor had deep spiritual experience. But when she sat with Jesus for a few minutes, she did not say “I am a saint” but went to her village and said, “Come and See,” she was not the center of conversation, but Christ.

I said: How do I start this, Father

He said: Before you start, you must be convinced that Christ is more precious than ever. It’s life and without it, the spirit dies. The light and without it, man lives in darkness.

Parents may love their children and give them all the comfort and attention, both morally and physically, but by introducing Christ to someone, you give him more than the parents do.

Those who have the knowledge to educate others and do not do that will not escape from the punishment of the Lord. So dear priest, what do you the Lord would do to those who actually have the ability to save the souls of many people but delay in doing that?

The ladder (pg. 401)

When a man knows the meaning of true repentance. The meaning of Christ’s acceptance of him, whatever his sin. When he knows how to fight the sin of pride and self, he sees the light of life. When he knows the true meaning of forgiveness for himself and others and lives in inner peace. When he trusts that he has inestimable salvation and eternal life. All these things cannot be offered by parents with their sacrifices and love, as long as they do not speak of Christ and present it to their children.

But very few parents talk about Christ in front of their children. Everyone is busy with his work and the media is the one who has shaped children and the family altar has been destroyed. All family interests are limited to food, leisure, and study. So you must be convinced of Christ’s message and its importance, and these will be detailed later.

I said: I’m convinced of that, Father, I want to thank you for everything you’re doing with me.

He said: Don’t thank me, son, thank Christ. It’s not my kindness, it’s my duty. My godfather has done this to me before, and he has commanded me to do it with others.

Working with Jesus is necessary, not a choice.

All the suffering we experience during our lives will disappear when we experience the eternal life. All our sadness will vanish when we start to think about the wonderful blessings of the lord and will be like vapor and thunder which appears and then disappears as it was never there.

St. John Cassian (pg. 550)

Anyone who becomes a true Christian must do this, who is laziness, they will be condemned by God, who was honest will be a reward.

As the apostle Paul said ” For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.” 1Corinthians 9:17

As a Christian, is it better to weep over the separation of the soul from the earthly body or weep over the separation of the soul form its maker, God, the Lord?!

Divine Love (pg. 704)

Also he said ” For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!” 1Corinthians 9:16. The one who saw the light cannot live in darkness nor make his brothers live in it. One who understands the meaning of life cannot see another die.

I said: Are there any practical steps this time?

He said: There are three practical steps:

In a timely and inopportune time

I said: What does that mean?

Pastoralism is not just a pleasure; it is also a responsibility towards every one of the groups. Any soul that gets lost because of the priest’s neglection in praying for this soul and searching for it. On judgment day, the Lord will ask for the lost souls from the priest. In deep sorrow, I think about how many ill people we priests visit and talk to about everything, except our God and Savior Jesus Christ. The conversation about Jesus as a personal savior for every soul is always neglected. Oh, what a shame. Oh, what a shame!

Pastoral Love (pg. 375)

He said: You must choose the time that suits the person who hears you. You better start with those younger than you. For example, those in a hard time need to hear about a powerful God who supports and helps and can make everything good. First talk to them about the love of Christ and how to obtain it.

Who is expatriated from his family, talk to him about the friendly Jesus and he is the closest person to you. Those who feel weak to Satan’s warriors and yearn to cast aside evil ideas or certain SINS spoke to him about the control the thought and the kinds of SINS.

I said: Can I talk to them for any time or am I waiting for a specific time?

He said:

We’re exploiting the wave, but we can’t make it.

The best gift that we could give to God is to bring him a repentant soul, as, in God’s eyes, the whole world does not worth anything compared to a saved soul. The world will vanish, but the soul lives on. Therefore, do not praise those who give money as gifts to the Lord, but praise those who bring him a saved soul.

The ladder to God (pg. 404)

I said: in Egypt, they transported goods from Aswan to Cairo by Nile boats. And it was easy because with the direction of the water. But when we got back from Cairo to Aswan, it was very difficult because they needed to go upstream. They would be rowing a lot, if there was so much air, the sailor would say, “Raise up the sail to exploit of the wave that had come from the air.” They rowing for four days, air makes for four hours.

You must take advantage of the opportunity because it may never come again.

However, there are many opportunities for Sunday school children to start with and teach them how to deal with Jesus’ father as a father. Teach them how to repent and how to pray. When they grow up, you start with them step by step with other things.

Show God’s love for them and he loves the children, and he’s the one who said ““Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” Luka 18:16. Don’t show that God is cruel and that he punishes sinners and throws them into hell. Tell them that Jesus loves sinners. Children are not terrified by God’s punishment; they are reassured of God’s love for them.

* Preparatory and secondary stage.

Start with preparatory and secondary age. Talk to them about how to manage their time, tell them how they excel in their studies, and how they planned for the future. To be serious in their spiritual lives, to have a strong relationship with Jesus. Furthermore, they are at an important stage in life, the “young age” that the bible said ” Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them.” Ecclesiastes 12:1. This period of age must be exploited because it never comes again. They have to build themselves spiritually, socially and culturally.

* Your family

The opportunity to start with your family (father, mother, sisters, and relatives) is important to start with your family and to make them trust in eternity and the joy of forgiveness. Providing for the spiritual life of a family is necessary and it is also a written matter. الاية Don’t wait for someone to die to regret, bemoan, and say I wish I could talk to them before they move in. So you must tell them about God and everlasting life. You can start with them indirectly.

I said: how?

He said: They probably won’t accept your speech directly. You might ask them if god loves us. This question as a key to the entry point for dialogue with them.

I said: what about inopportune time?

He said: People you see constantly, wait for the right time to talk to them. The people you don’t see constantly talk to them in an inopportune time.

I said: how?

He said: One of the church servants, who was traveling by train, met an army soldier, and he began to talk to him because he was disappointed in his life. And this servant started to say, do not be disappointed, and take advantage of your time, you are like the monks who live in the desert. Whose lives are full of prayer and praise. You can do as, like those, you find yourself comfortable. This servant talked to this soldier in an inopportune time because he met him by chance. There are a lot of examples, but more importantly, take it seriously. How many hearts have been broken by grief and the souls wounded by the troubles of life, and the souls torn apart by guilt and uncleanness? The only cure for all of this is Christ, who helps and saves his children.

I said: Does everyone accept god so easily?

He said: Of course not. But you must do what we have to do. In time, it will produce the fruit results.

I’ll tell you a story, there was an ambassador inside the embassy in a country, with a consul of the same country. This ambassador was a Christian by name only, while the consul was a truly religious man. The ambassador made a mockery of the consul because of his religiousness. One day the ambassador asked to visit this consul at his home. With hesitation and bewilderment, the consul agreed to the ambassador’s request.

I said: Why did the consul get confused?

He said: Because the consul’s father is a true religious Christian, he does not leave a chance without speaking about Christ. When the consul returned home, he informed his father of the visit. He asked him not to speak to the ambassador about Christ because they mocked all who spoke about him. After discussions, the father agreed to the request of his son. The ambassador came and stayed with them for two days, in two days, the father never talked about anything and kept quiet. when the ambassador left, something strange happened.

I said: What happened?

He said: The father asked the ambassador, “do you really have a relationship with Christ, that he loves you very much”?

I said: What did the ambassador say?

He said: Of course it was a surprise to him. But he calmly replied no. “You must think about it,” the father said, “our heavenly destiny is more important than the earth.” The ambassador left thinking about it. The consul returned to his father to reprimand him. The father apologized to his son and said, “I prayed all night for him, confident that God would change his life “. Days pass, the consul moves to another embassy, and about seven years later the father died. The surprise was when this consul received a telegram in which he wrote: “I comfort you in the greatest man I have ever known, who in his few words was able to change my life. I never forget the day that he reproved me, for such simple words as a sword pierced the soul and the heart. It was the reason I and all my families changed.

I said: Seven years later!!

He said: If we have faith that these words are God’s word, it must bear fruit “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12. “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11.

Once a day, our father Beshoy Kamel heard about a young man in Alexandria who wanted to leave Christianity, went to him and knocked on the door, the young man knew that he was our father beshoy, did not want to open. The young man got angry and didn’t want to open the door because he had so long that no one visits him.

Father beshoy sat at the door and began to sing songs and portions of the mass. Although the door did not open, our father was not weary. In a certain song, the young man opened the door and began to kiss the father’s hand and ask for forgiveness from our father. Our father hugged him and started hearing his story.

I said: What’s the story of this young man?

He said: This young man from Upper Egypt came to Alexandria to work, he didn’t know anybody, and he never went to church. He began to deviate from the path of good and friends of the work, pressuring him in the path of evil. But he came to his senses when he heard our father sing. He remembered his early days when he went to church. He repented, he confessed, and he seemed to have a real relationship with Jesus.

I said: the first step was In a timely and inopportune time what is the second?

He said: Leave the second step for the next time, but let’s summarize what we said:

Working with Jesus is necessary, not a choice.

To be a fountain, not pond

Be not ashamed of the testimony of our Lord

Pray every morning

” Use me, o Lord, for the glory of your holy name.”
