FRANCESCO ROSSI (1827-1912)

An Italian and Coptologist. He became an assistant in the at (1865) and then subdirector (1867), and he helped to compile the museum catalog.

In addition to his contributions to Egyptology, he published numerous studies in Coptic. He died in Turin.
