Emilio Teza

EMILIO TEZA

An Italian philologist born at Venice in 1831 and died at in 1912. He worked in the National Marcan Library, Venice, and in the Medici-Laurentian Library, Florence. He taught Sanskrit, classical languages, and Romance languages in Bologna, Pisa, and Padua.

His contributions to include the following: Inscrizioni cristiane d’Egitto; due in copto e una in graeco (Pisa, 1878): “ manoscritti copti del Mingarelli nella Biblioteca dell’Università di Bologna,” della R. accademia Lincei, Rendiconti, ser. 5, no. 1 (1892):488-502; and “Frammenti inediti di un sermone di Scenuti in dialetto sahidico,” della R. accademia Lincei 5, no. 1 (1892):682-97.
