Probably a prominent Copt of the fourteenth or fifteenth century, he is known only from a note that states that a manuscript (National Library, Paris, Arabe 14, fol. A) belonged to him. This fourteenth-century contains the Arabic translation of the made by , a West Syrian translator of the ninth century, and well known to the Copts.
